Belkin Router Not Connecting?

I'm trying to set up my belkin wireless G router, I been trying for the past 3 days, it seems that it won't communicate with the network, then I try the setup page 192.168.2.1 and I get an error message on it. Please someone help me with this. I'm about to loose my vision just trying to figure this one out. Help

Belkin Router Not Connecting to Internet:

In today’s advanced world, no can deny or live without an internet connection. In this universe, many router devices are being used by the people, at which a Belkin router is unique one. It is known for its excellent speed and provides fast internet network.

Here we discuss related to a router device such as Why is my Belkin Router not connecting whether a computer device, a modem or any other peripheral devices. Instead of reading just read your manual and follows those instructions as given there.

Resolving by providing easiest steps why my Belkin Router is not connecting as:

If Belkin router is failed to connect with a modem, then try to restart a modem device and after this also restart a Belkin wireless router system. Here users need to pay attention, when we announced to restart a system device, then just unplug the power and after waiting for a few 10-15 seconds, get to return plugged it back its main power source.

In some cases, it is caused due to not upgrading the latest version of firewalls that blocks or get unable to connect via the internet connections. Hence this requires check all latest updates and requires to install antivirus defender program.

Also ensures that the time and date into a PC device should be correct properly. Under the heading of a device manager. First update the LAN and also a Belkin wireless adaptor.

Furthermore, if these steps get failed to connect a Belkin router device. Then follow these below method which may help you in connecting a device.

Step 1 : Restart all system devices.

Step 2 : Unplug all power cables such as Ethernet cables, internet cable or a modem cable.

Step 3 : Wait for approx. 30-40 seconds.

Step 4 : After 40 seconds, plug it back to a modem and then to a Belkin router device.

Step 5 : Wait for a minute, until n unless a light blinks or flashes in a router device. Then try to connect it via the internet connection. Now get to restart a PC device.

Step 6 : Then try to make an update of a wireless router driver.

Step 7 : Make a setup of a DNS server address.


Step 8 : Reset TCP/IP.


Step 9 : Then make a proper reset of a Belkin router.

Step 10 : Connect an internet network and see whether you’re getting a Wi-Fi signal or not. If troubling, then try to connect it again.

Belkin Router Not Connecting:

Follow these basic steps first before we jump into any troubleshooting steps –

Restart the Modem than after 20 sec restart the Belkin wireless router . (don’t be confuse when we say restart we just have to unplug the power and wait for 10 seconds and plug it back .)

Sometimes its your firewall that blocks the internet connection . Please check and update the antivirus . Make sure time and Date is correct on the computer . Go to the device manager and update you LAN and wireless Adaptor .

If all this did not help try out these options and steps too –

 1- Restart your devices..

--> Unplug the power cable from your modem and from your router.

--> Wait for 30 seconds.

--> Plug the power cable back to your modem first, and then into your router.

--> Wait for the router and modem lights to light up, and then try to connect to the Internet. then restart your computer.

2- Try to update your Wireless driver –

device-manager

  • Go to Device Manager by right-clicking on My Computer.
  • Go to Properties.
  • Click on Device Manager.
  • Right click and update your network/ WiFi driver.
  • If update are not working then UN-install and re-install the driver.
  • Try to clean your computer and also update your router firmware.
  • Run/clean your computer with Avg Cloud Care Antivirus.avg-free-002
  • Run a full scan…

3- Set DNS server address-

  • Click on Windows Logo > Control Panel.
  • Click Network and Internet.
  • Now Click on Network & Sharing Center.
  • Please Click the name of the connection you wish the edit, to the right of Connections.
  • Click Properties.
  • Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
  • Click the radio button next to Use the following DNS server addresses:- This will allow you to enter the DNS server addresses.
  • The DNS addresses are as follows:
  • Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
  • Click OK on each of the windows and close the Control Panel.

4- Reset tcp/ip stack-

You can try to reset the TCP/IP stack in Windows..

Go to Start, Run and type in CMD…

Type the following commands:

netsh int ip reset reset.log

netsh winsock reset catalog

Now Reboot your computer..

5- Reset Your Belkin Router –

Using a paper clip , please press continue to hold the reset button

• Continue to hold the reset button at least 30-45 seconds after inserting the power cord, then release it. and then try to reconfigure your setting and WiFi setting.

Just follow the instruction and get your router working again.

Instruction's are as Follow:-

1. Reset your router.

2. Reset setting.

3. Plug the router with computer using Ethernet cable.
