Why There is No ADSL Light on My Belkin Router?

Hi, I have a Belkin N150 Wireless N Router. Suddenly (overnight) the ADSL light has gone off and I have no internet connection through it. The power light and the wireless light are still on. I have contacted my ISP who assure me all is well from their side and I have installed a Speedtouch Modem which does connect with no problem. I have tried switching the telephone connection and the filter but nothing happens. I have also tested the connections. Can someone please give me any ideas.

If the ADSL light does not turn on, this means that the modem can not establish a connection with your ISP. There are several steps you can take to try and resolve this problem:-
1) Verify the ADSL cable is securely inserted into the modem/router's ADSL port and the microfilter.
2) If you have multiple telephone sockets on your premises, ensure that the modem/router is connected to the master socket, i.e. the one closest to the point the telephone line enters the premises.
3) If you have other devices attached to your telephone line, ensure that these are plugged into a microfilter. Also, make sure that the microfilter is plugged in before the split or ensure that all devices after the split are plugged into a microfilter themselves.
4) Try upgrading the firmware on your router to the latest version.
