Many problems and issues occur when establishing connections between routers and mobile devices. One such problem is your iPhone not recognizing the router's presence or being unable to connect with the router.

This problem can be fixed, and you can troubleshoot this issue on your own by applying simple, basic methods. But for that, you will first have to consider all the reasons behind the occurrence of this problem, which include the Wi-Fi password, router range, network settings, outdated firmware, Wi-Fi issues, and many more.

Another thing that might be causing this problem is damaged cables. A lot of times, we think that the problem is internal, but even after applying all the methods to fix the internal problem, we still face certain connectivity issues, so in such cases, the problem might be with your cable wires.

Does the IPhone 6 Recognize the Problem?

Here is how you can troubleshoot this problem in the following ways-

Check the Range of Your Router

If your iPhone cannot detect the presence of your router, try to keep it within the range of your iPhone and make sure that it is turned on.

Enter the Correct Wi-Fi Password

Sometimes, when we are in a hurry, we tend to mistype the Wi-Fi password, which causes the connection to fail. But even after entering the correct password, you may encounter a "unable to join the network" or "incorrect password" message. Try to start your device and enter the password again in such a situation.

Try Resetting the Network Settings

If you cannot connect with your router, go to the settings section, select the general option, select the transfer or reset option, hit the reset option, and go for the reset network settings option.

This process will reset passwords, cellular settings, Wi-Fi networks, and VPN/ APN settings.

Try Restarting Your Device

You can also try to restart your iPhone and router. You can disconnect the cables of your router from the power source and reconnect them back after a few minutes. And check whether your iPhone can detect the router.

Try Updating the Firmware of Your Router

Always make sure that you are using updated firmware, and also check your router's compatibility with Apple products.

Finally, if the problem is still not fixed, you can consider seeking professional help for guidance and assistance.
