Question

How Can I Find My Buffalo Router Password

Through my own stupidity, i left someone I know enter the pin supplied on the router not knowing that they could use my wireless connection anytime they want. This is really bugging me as the connection itself is very slow with one user not mind two. Is there anyway that i find my buffalo router password? it would be really appreciated

Find Buffalo Router Default Password:

  1. Try the DEFAULT first.. Most of them are "root" (no quotes) for username and NO PASSWORD so enter nothing! The following will reset the unit to factory defaults. Look for the INIT button on bottom of the device.
  2. Press and hold for 15 seconds and a sequence of beeping audibles will occur. The password has been changed to the default password.
  3. Then login and resetup the router.
  4. Be sure to enable WEP or WPA and set a WIRELESS password (these can be and should be different from the router password!) The default router login is also on the support site Downloads - Quick Setup Guides.. just enter your router MODEL for the correct information.

The link was helpful but didn't use the whole tip. I went to the network and sharing center. There was my network connection and on the right was a link something like "show the whole connection setup. And there I found a diagram of my whole network: Computer wireless router wired router. And I just clicked on the routers and came directly to the IP I was looking for. 192.168.1.4.
