How Do I Set up the Mercusys Range Extender?

There are two different methods through which you can set up the Mercusys range extender. The first method is through the web browser, and the second method is through WPS. In the web browser method, you have to connect your computer device to the other extender network.

You will need a web browser to log in and choose a password. From the given list, you will have to select the 2.4Hz network name of the host router and enter the correct password details. In the WPS method, you have to click the WPS button located on the router. Once the connection is established, the blinking light will turn into a solid one.

Method 1: Via a Web Browser

Join your computer or mobile device to the extender's network. MERCUSYS RE XXXX. When using a computer, unplug any Ethernet cables that are present.

To link the extender to the host router, follow the Quick Setup Wizard's directions.

Step 1: Open a browser, then type http://mwlogin.net into the URL bar. To sign in, choose a password.

Step 2: Choose your host router's 2.4GHz SSID (network name) from the provided list.

Step 3: Enter the host router's password. Select Next after selecting your preferred option for the expanded network's SSID (the host router's default SSID).

Method 2: Via WPS

Step 1: Before using the extender, ensure the Signal LED is lit, solid red, and plugged into an outlet close to your router.

Step 2: On the router, press the WPS button.

Step 3: Press the extender's WPS or RESET/WPS button within two minutes. With a successful WPS connection, the Light will stop flickering and turn solid.

The host router and extension both use the same SSID and password. Try entering http://mwlogin.net when you wish to change the wireless setup for the extended network.

For the best Wi-Fi performance and coverage, set up the Mercusys range extender.
