How to Change WiFi Password on Sagemcom Fast 5260

Sagemcom Fast 5260 router is an enhanced WiFi experience with several features, including a web graphical interface, gigabit connections, IPv6 support, parent control, SPI firewall, WPA2 connection, and inbuilt USB for connecting to storage devices. It provides high-speed internet with reliable wi-fi connections.

You have to follow certain steps to change the password of the Sagemcom Fast 5260 router. Then the changes will be applicable, but keep in mind that settings for both the network types are the same, and make sure that the new password created must be kept in a safe place and always keep an update of the device you want to connect to.

Mentioned below are the steps that you need to carry out in order to change password on Sagemcom Router

Step 1: In case of several routers, the first thing that you need to do is to launch your internet browser and then enter http://192.168.1.1.

Step 2: A login screen will open up before you and you will have to enter the right Username and Password. The default entries that you need to make in the username and password section are admin and admin.

Step 3: After that, the Home page of your router will open up. Here, you are going to see various options, which you can access such as internet connectivity, access control and router settings.

Step 4: Select the type of wireless network that you wish to change. What makes 2.5GHz frequency different from 5 GHz is that it covers bigger areas and can penetrate large objects.

On the other hand, 5 GHz has better data rate and there are less chances of interference and only a few devices use it.

Step 5: Choose the Tab that has the label of Basic.

Step 6: You can change the mode of security encryption by going to the section of security. Moreover, it is recommended not to make any changes in the default setting unless it is a requirement set by your device.

Step 7: After that, you need to type in the new password in the password section. The password can have a minimum of 8 characters which can go up to 63 characters. No special characters are allowed.

Step 8: In order to make the changes applicable, click on Save.
