Change Wifi Password TP Link AC1750

Below are the few steps to change Wi-Fi password TP link ac1750 effectively.

Through a Wireless ADSL Routers

  • Make sure that your computer system is connected to the internet connection. In order to have access to the router’s page, you need to be connected to the Internet.
  • If you are having trouble while connecting it to the wireless connection then try connecting directly to the router.
  • Go to web browser. Enter the TP link router’s address in the browser’s address bar to have access on your router’s page.
  • Type 192.168.1.1 into the browser’s address bar. It is the default IP address of your TP link router. The same address is for the router’s web interface.

  • Check out the user manual to know the default IP address if the above address seems incorrect.
  • Type the router’s username and password. Both, the username as well as password are admin if you still haven’t changed them from the factory settings.

  • In other case, where you have changed them but do not remember them anymore, then you have to reset your router settings before you proceed.
  • Click on the second tap at the top of the page on your screen i.e. interface setup.
  • Now click on the wireless. It is below the main tabs on the top of the page.
  • Click on a wireless 2.4 GHz or wireless 5 GHz to set a separate password for each network if you choose to use a dual band router.
  • Click on the Security (Brodcom modem only). It's below "Wireless" in the sidebar menu to the left.
  • Select "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed Mode" or "WPA2-PSK (best)". Using the drop-down menu next to "Authentication Type" or "Network authentication" to select "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK (Mixed Mode)" or "WPA2-PSK (best)", depending on which modem model you have.
  • On the other hand, you can choose WEP but it isn’t as secure as the other one is.
  • Type your new wireless password. It is placed in the field next to "Pre-shared key" in the box named "WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed Mode".
  • In case if you are using WEP, type your password next to key 1.
  • At the bottom of the page, click on save or apply/save.
  • Next you can click on advanced setup or Management. On Brodcom modems, Management is the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen and for the Trendchip modems; advanced setup is on the 3rd tab at the top of the page on your screen.
  • Click on Sys Restart or Reboot.
  • Click on the option to restart with current settings. It is placed in the center of the page and will restart your modem and implies all the settings.
