Configure an ASUS RT-AC68U Wireless Router as a Repeater:

This tutorial will configure an ASUS RT-AC68U Wireless Router as a Repeater. The range of your wireless network will benefit from this.

  • Open a web browser and enter the address 192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
  • Click OK after entering the administrator's username and password. (Admin is the same as the default password and username).
  • Click Administration under the Advanced Settings menu on the left.
  • There will be a choice for the Operation Mode tab. After selecting Repeater mode, click Save.
  • There will be a list of local wifi networks. Click Connect after choosing the network to extend and entering the security key.

Keep the box marked "Use the default settings" checked to utilise the same wireless configuration as the network that will be expanded. If not, leave the box checked and input this router's SSID and network key. Generally speaking, it is advisable to continue checking this box.

To save the modifications, click the Apply button. The settings could be used, and the router will restart. Now that the wireless repeater has been effectively set up.
