The Verizon router blinking yellow light could be a bit problematic, but don't worry. The solid yellow light on the Verizon router means no internet connection. Some of the reasons behind the issue could be local Outage, outdated firmware, ongoing maintenance, broken or damaged cables, incorrect pairing, damaged extender, temporary glitches, overheating, and more.

So, make sure you check for local outages, power cycle the router, avoid overheating, replace damaged cables, update firmware, and, if needed, perform a hard reset to restore factory default settings to prevent the yellow light flashing issue.

This Way to Fix Verizon Fios Yellow Light Blinking Issue:

No Internet Due to Improper Booting

Rebooting your Verizon Fios is a feasible solution when the yellow light keeps blinking indicating no internet connectivity. Simply switch your Verizon Fios off for a minute and then switch it on.

If the internet connectivity is restored it will be shown by the blink of solid white light. If the yellow light is still blinking then follow the step discussed below.

Your Verizon Fios may be Overheating

Another reason for the blinking of the yellow light is perhaps the overheating of Verizon Fios. This happens when your Verizon Fios is installed at a place where relatively high temperature, excessive humidity, or poor airflow is observed.

This will probably reduce down the internet speed and cause intermittent internet interruption. This can be dealt with by turning your Verizon Fios off and relocating it to a place with better airflow.

Loosely Connected Cords

Another reason that can be attributed to the blinking of the yellow light on Verizon Fios is that the wires connecting the end of the router with the electronic panel or your computer system may have become loose.

To check this up, hold the wires for a while and if the internet connection is restored, you must unplug all the relevant cables and insert the cables again after waiting for a minute.

Damaged or Impaired Cables

Impaired cables may also be the real cause of the blinking of the Verizon Fios Yellow Light. It may happen because animal-like rats may have eaten into the wire or with the efflux of time the wires may have got damaged. I

In both such cases, you must replace the damaged part of the Verizon Fios cable.

Pairing Required Between Verizon Fios and Verizon Extender

In a different scenario Verizon Extender may also flash a solid yellow light indicating that it is ready to be paired with your Verizon Fios. So, to finally pair them up, press the buttons on both the Verizon Fios and Verizon Extender.

Subsequently, the pairing will be reflected by the blinking of blue light once the connection is set.
