Before you start with the process, you need to connect to the spectrum Wi-Fi using the network name and password. The network name and password provided by spectrum are labeled on spectrum equipment.
Step 1: Select the IP address 192.168.0.1. Another web page will open up before you where you can change the network settings.
Step 2: Enter the webpage by typing the username and password.
Step 3: Go to the menu of Gateway, then select connection and then finally select Wi-Fi.
Step 4: The Wi-Fi page will open up before you. Select the button of Edit that is given after the access point that you wish to change from 5 GHz or 2.5 Ghz.
Step 5: Update the network password and network name on the new Edit page that appears before you.
Step 6: For router, modify the name and password of the network as asked and then click on the option of Save Settings.
Step 7: Enter the new network details that you can use in future.
