Verizon is a popular TV service and home internet provider. Fios by Verizon provides you with bundled services such as television services, telephone, internet access. If you are a Verizon user, then the Fios gateway router needs to be installed at your office and home that are providing you with voice, internet, and other services.

How to Log in to Verizon Fios Router-

Step 1: In the first step, you need to establish a connection with your Fios router. This connection can either be wired or wireless.

Step 2: Check the ethernet port on your Fios router and then use the PJ45 LAN wire for a wired connection. If you want, you can use the default wireless network name and password printed on the gateway sticker to connect with Wi-Fi connectivity.

Step 3: Once the connection is established, you can go ahead and access the login page of your router.

Step 4: Open the login page of your router by entering 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser.

Step 5: After that, enter admin in both the username and password section.

Step 6: In case this password is not working, then enter the administrator password printed on the router sticker.

Step 7: After you log in successfully, you need to follow the steps to open the control panel of your router. 

How to Change Wi-Fi Network Name-

Go to the Wireless Settings from the menu appearing at the top. From there, go to basic security settings. There, you need to turn wireless on. After that, change the name of the network as per your choice for the 2.4 GHz network.

The channel should be set to Automatic. This needs to be turned on if you are using only one Wi-Fi device in the same location. Select the Apply settings button to change wireless settings. After that, you need to create a Wi-Fi password to keep your network secure. 

How to Change the Verizon Wi-Fi Password-

Below are the easy steps that you need to follow to change your Verizon Wi-Fi password. 

Step 1: Go to Verizon settings and from there go to advanced wireless settings.  

Step 2: Choose WPA2 or WPA mixed mode security. It is always recommended to use this security type. 

Step 3: After that, go to the security key and set your new Verizon wireless password for the 2.4 Ghz network. It is recommended to create a strong password to secure your network. 

Once you change the login password, click on Apply to confirm the changes.
