Pace Router Login:

Here we are going to discuss how to login to a pace router. So, go through this post and you will learn that Pace router login information. Before we start let's find out the required things for Pace router login.

Requirements:

  • You will need some things before accessing the default gateway to login to a Pace router.
  • A system where you can access the web browser. (Avoid using a smartphone or tablet)
  • Best to have the box of the router as it has username and password on it.

Pace Router Login Steps

Follow the below steps for Pace router login:

Step 1: Go to a Web browser and type the Pace router Login IP address

All routers have a login IP address which permits you to access the default gateway. Login IP address may be rare to guess for a router.
The IP address for Pace: http://192.168.1.254

Step 2: Enter Credentials, Username & Password

By typing the IP address, you will be redirected to the default login page of the Pace router. Now you have to enter the username and password

  • Default username: none
  • Default Password: none

The credentials are generally printed on the box of the router. If you don’t have the router box with you, you can just reset the router by pressing and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds. Once reset, you can enter the default login credentials. A different way is to access the official site of Pace router, now part of Arris and get the default username and password.

Step 3: Change the SSID

SSID is named as the Service Set Identifier which is the name of wifi stations you see when you tap on the network tab. By default, it is PACE 501 or PACE501_5G. If not changing the SSID could be dangerous as default credentials can be supposed easily. Find the SSID or network name tab and change it.

You have to change it to a user-friendly name such that it’s hard to guess the default credentials of the router.

Tips:

  • Keep it short and simple
  • Never make it very strange as it may fail
  • Never use any personal information as the name of your router

Step 4: Setting up the PACE Login Details

Once successfully logging into the router, you can change the default login credential as the same details can be assumed easily and one can use your web and also cause possible damage to your data. Follow below to change the username and password:

Tips to change your username and password:

  • Your password must be a mixture of alphanumeric characters
  • Your password must be 8-16 characters long, complex yet easy to remember
  • Username should be user-friendly and simple
  • Username and password for PACE needs to be written down somewhere

Step 5: Secure PACE router settings

When you log in to the default gateway of PACE, see the encryption settings of your network. You must set the encryption to WPA2-PSK which is the latest industry standard. It ensures that your router runs at the best security level possible.

Solutions to Issues of PACE Router Login Issue:

1. PACE Password is not working

There are only two cases when this may happen. First, maybe you are not entering the correct password which had earlier changed or you are not familiar with the default password. In that case, you need to find out the default password for PACE and after that enter it after resetting the router.

2. Forgot Password of PACE

Most of the time, if you never changed the default password for your router then you can easily get it from the router’s box or even the customer care of Arris or your local ISP. For users who are unable to remember the password which they change, you should reset the router and use default login details to set a new password.

3. How to reset PACE router

The process for PACE routers is simple.

  • Whenever you power On the router, See for the reset button and press-and-hold for 30 seconds using a paper clip or something pointed to trigger the reset function as it's a tiny hole.
  • When you hold the reset button, turn off the router and hold it for 30 seconds
  • You don’t have to release the reset button and when holding it, power on the power unit and hold for 30 seconds.
