Set Up a Mesh Network:

A Mesh network improves the range of your internet connection by keeping different connection points at your office and home. You don't have to log in to an extender or let the connectivity suffer because of the distance. Your device easily connects to the nearest point and allows the route traffic to maintain its speed.

Here in this post, you are going to learn how to set up a Mesh network. But before you move on to the process to set up a Mesh network, you need to first check the router location, internet coverage area, node location, and Mesh network specifications.

How to Set up a Mesh Network?

Carry out the easy and simple steps mentioned below in order to set up a Mesh network.

Step 1: Once you select the system, you are required to download the app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Disconnect your router and then connect the main node with the help of an ethernet cable. Reconnect your router and then allow the main mode to turn on.

Step 3: Now, you will be asked to log in to your account. In case you don't have an existing account, then you need to create a new one.

Step 4: Go to the end of the main node and scan your QR code. After that, enter the serial number and then link the main node and your account.

Step 5: After that, it will ask you to enter the name and location of the main node. Here, you are required to mention the number of satellite nodes. In case you underestimate or overestimate any of them, then you can add the nodes later.

Step 6: Then, you are required to connect one node at a time. Now, check the network speed in every room of your house.

Why is It Important to Install a Mesh Network?

A normal Wi-Fi network is capable of providing good coverage in a single-family home. Nevertheless, home size, home design, and building materials can impact the signal strength of your network.

With various smart devices in your house and more users, it becomes difficult for your wireless network to keep up with the request of every device and user. It becomes very hard for the routers to reach out to the devices that are away from the router or not within the range of your router.

These issues can be resolved if you set up a Mesh network as it distributes your router across your home. Nodes are continuously connected to one another and allow the traffic to move on the Wi-Fi signals.

So, if you are listening to music while walking at home, then rather than connecting to one router device, you will be shifting that load on the nodes that are closer to you. The manufacturer puts a limit on the connection losses and makes sure that it does not get overloaded with multiple requests at the same time. Nevertheless, proper configuration is needed in order to get the best results.
