Update Zyxel C1000z Firmware:

Read on to know how to update Zyxel c1000z firmware then go through this post. Before you start, always remember these points it will help you:

If you are searching for certain safety action, remember that it would be great if you perform the upload using an Ethernet cable rather than a wireless connection, which can be interrupted easily.

Before you start downloading this firmware, go to the system information page of the router and confirm that the currently installed version is not either recent or releasing on the same version.

Find Below the Steps to Update Zyxel c1000z Firmware:

Step 1: First of all, connect your computer or tablet to the internet via WiFi or using an Ethernet cable connected to your modem.

Step 2: Open an internet browser and sort http://192.168.0.1 into the online address field.

Step 3: Sign into the modem's online interface by your Admin Username and Admin Password. If you have not changed the default settings, you will find this information on the modem's sticker. Remember that these are different from your wireless SSID and security key.

Step 4: Select ‘Utilities.’

Step 5: Select ‘Upgrade Firmware’ within the left sidebar.

Step 6: Check the ‘Upgrade Status’ area:

  • If it is shown that to Upgrade Firmware, proceed to step 7 to upgrade the firmware.
  • If it shows that Firmware is up so far or N/A, you do not get to update. You are all done!

Step 7: Select ‘Download.’

Step 8: Select the drop-down next to ‘Save’ and choose ‘Save as.’

Step 9: Click on ‘Desktop’ (or choose another folder if you want) after that click ‘Save.’ The downloaded firmware file should now be saved on your computer.

Step 10: Here you can put in the saved file, select ‘Browse’ on the Upgrade Firmware screen.

Step 11: Navigate to your Desktop (or the folder location where you saved the enter step 9). Select the firmware file, then click ’Open.’

Step 12: Select ‘Upgrade Firmware.’

Step 13: The display will show you the development of the upgrade installation. This step will take around 2 minutes.

Step 14: Next, you will see a screen telling you that the modem is rebooting. This step will take about 3 minutes.

Step 15: Once the upgrade is complete, you'll be taken to the most ‘Modem GUI Login’ screen. Wait 2-5 minutes for the DSL and internet lights on the modem to show green before trying to access the web.

Also, make sure you don’t power off the router or use its buttons during the installation, if you want to avoid any malfunctions. No need to backup when we are updating firmware because it doesn’t reset your custom modem settings.

If this firmware fulfills your current needs, get the desired version and apply it to your router unit; if not, check with our website as often as possible so that you are not allowed to miss the update that will improve your device.
