Step 1: First of all connect your DAP-1520 to a power source. The connection must be within the range of your Wi-Fi router.

Step 2: Turn on the wireless utility on your computer system. Now, choose the network name and put-in the password. Both of these are mentioned on your Wi-Fi configuration card.

Step 3: After that, launch your internet browser and enter http://dlinkap.local in the URL section. You also have an option of entering the IP address i.e. 192.168.0.50.

Step 4: Now to install D-link wireless range extender , enter the default username and password and then finally enter admin in the username and leave the password section empty.

Step 5: Go to setup Wizard and click on it. Now, click on Next.

Step 6: If you wish to Configure D-link Wireless Range Extender manually, then go to option number 2 in the menu of setup wizard.

Step 7: Select the wireless network that you want to use out of the network link that appears in front of you. Click on select after selecting the network that you wish to use.  

Step 8: Now, enter the password of your wireless network.

Step 9: After that, the wireless connection will be broadcasted once again from the uplink router. But this time as extended wireless network.  The password and SSID will get generated automatically for both 5GHZ as well as 2.5 GHZ networks.
