Why am I Unable to Limit the Number of Connections?

Hi, I'm having problems with my TP-Link WR740N router, the problem is that it is accepting more than around 12-15 connections, other users can't connect when it hits the limit even though the DHCP address pool is set to more than 100 IP's, I have also tried power resetting which that the modem can work. But the problem is same. Can anybody help me in this context?

If you want to limit the number of users on your TP Link router then, you have 4 options :

  1. First Limit the DHCP lease start and end address, which starts from 192.168.1.5 and set an end address at 192.168.1.9.
  2. Setup up parental control if your router supports. Divide time slots between users and allow or deny as the case may be.
  3. Upgrade your Internet Slab both FUP and Speed.
  4. Use the MAC address filter on your TP-Link router. Use a password bank and a very long random password for your Wi-Fi. Make sure you are using WPA2 for your Wi-Fi.
