How do I Block MSN Access with My HP Router and Still Allow Normal Web Traffic?

I have an HP MSR931 3G 160Mbps router and would like to be able to block MSN, Skype, and Audio streaming while still allowing normal HTTP traffic. If I disable HTTP then MSN and audio streaming are blocked yet if I enable it they are open and I can't figure out how to stop just them. Please help?

How to Block MSN Website -

Blocking a particular website from access can be done in a number of ways and certain applications or programs are there for the same as well. Here we will discuss in detail on how to block MSN from accessing. Follow the steps below carefully:

1. Use a proxy server to block the website: Although, there are different processes to manage and block websites, the easiest way to do so is using a proxy server. The proxy server gives the freedom to block particular websites. So download a third party app and simply enter the URL address of that website in the web filter tab under settings.

2. Manually block the website: Although this is little complicated but depending on your requirement it wouldn't be that hard.

Follow the Instructions Below for MSN Block -

a. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.

b. Press double click on hosts, and after this choose Notepad when Windows prompts you to select a program. If you don't get the prompt, open Notepad in this way i.e.,  go to Start >All Programs>Accessories>Notepad. Navigate to hosts by clicking File, Open within Notepad.

c. Place the mouse cursor at the last line, which say something such as '127.0.0.1 localhost' or '::1 localhost'.  To create a new line, hit Enter.

d. Type 127.0.0.1, tap the spacebar once and then type the address of a website you want to block. For example, type 127.0.0.1 www.msn.com on this line or any other website for that purpose.

e. Now, tap on File and then save the changes. Dismiss any warnings from antimalware software, if display on the screen.

f. Close the browser, and then reopen any browser. Now the blocked sites will not display in any browser.

Hopefully, the above-given steps helped you I get a relevant solution. In case you have any difficulty in understanding any part, kindly revert back with your query.
