My Belkin Wireless Router Forgot Security Number. So What Should I Do

I have a belkin wireless router and have lost the security number i know you can find this out but totally forgot, can anyone jog my memory please, because my son has an iPod touch and wants to try the wi fi out. thanks

Forgot Security Number on Belkin Wireless Router:

Step 1 : Go to INTERNET EXPLORER

Step 2 : On address bar: Type 192.168.2.1

Step 3 : On left pane Click SECURITY

Step 4 : On center page: Look Up "KEY 1" (your security number must be displayed there.they are probably 10 characters)

or
if you plug into it via ethernet you can log in and find the key, if you can still access it on your computer you can just log into the router and find the key.

Hi Kevin, you can easily fix this issue.

  • Open your web browser and type 192.168.2.1 in URL.
  • On the left pane, click on Security.
    Now on the center page: Look Up "KEY 1" (Your security number must be displayed there.
  • They are probably 10 characters)
