Setup Netgear WN1000RP Router:

A proper WiFi enabling router can help you leverage your digital resources and can provide you the best in-class experience. But many a time your device’s distant location from the hardware device or equipment may become the bane for poor connectivity and may worsen your experience on the internet.

So, you may be required to install an efficient extender to enhance the WiFi connectivity. Even, I got occupied with poor internet connectivity experience, which could get resolved when I setup the Netgear WN1000RP router, which is basically an internet extender that increases the reach of the internet and facilitates seamless WiFi connectivity with other hardware and external output devices.

So, here is a quick guide throwing light on a couple of ways to install your NetGear WN1000RP router.

Method 1 – Wireless Protected Setup of Netgear WN1000RP Router

The WPS method is aimed at providing one-to-one connectivity between the router or extender and the external output device. In itself, the WPS (Wireless Protected Setup) is a network security protocol that can easily pair the router and the device.

So to proceed with connecting the device with your Netgear extender, follow the simple steps given below.

Step 1 - As the very first step, you should plug in your Netgear into the power outlet.

Step 2 - Now switch on your NetGear WN1000RP router by holding on to the power on/off button.

Step 3 - Now wait for a few minutes until the Status LED or light turns green.

Step 4 - Now hold or keep pressing the WPs button of your NetGear WN1000RP extender for a while.

Step 5 - Also switch on the WPS button of your router as well.

Step 6 - As soon as your Netgear WN1000RP extender and WiFi router gets paired up, Link Rate will start flashing light.

Step 7 – At last you must check for the “WiFi Device to Booster” light. If it has turned on and is flashing light, it is an assurance that connection through your Netgear WN1000RP router has been set up.

But,  If the light is not turning on it is a signal that the connection has not been setup, and in which case you must try the other method of connecting through the Netgear WN1000RP router mentioned below.

Method 2 – Netgear WN1000RP Router Connect Manually

This method is all about setting up the internet connection through the internet web browser. The detailed step-by-step procedure is provided below.

Step 1 - To initiate the process of connecting, you must plug in the extender to setup Netgear WN1000RP router along with the power booster.

Step 2 - You should wait for a few minutes until the WN1000RP router status LED turns on.

Step 3 - Now connect the network to the WiFi booster.

Step 4 - Open your preferred internet browser and then go on to open the website of the Netgear WN1000RP router.

Step 5 – Adhere to the process displayed on the web page to establish an internet connection using WN1000RP router.
