Reset Linksys Wireless Router:

You can easily reset Linksys router's password, just follow these instructions:-

  1. Log into your Linksys router Web interface by entering "https://192.168.1.1" in the browser's address bar. At the login page, enter Linksys default username and password. If you are using default ones then leave the Username field blank and enter "admin" in the password field.
  2. Under Linkys interface, tap on "Administration" tab. Now move to  Management subpage,  here you will see your current username and password, just change both of them to some unique values so that no one can guess them.
  3. After clicking on "Save Settings" the resetting process get completed.

If still, you are facing any issue then reset your Linksys router to Factory Settings.

For resetting Linksys router to factory settings, first, locate the "Reset" button. On some routers, it is present on the backside, while on others, it is on the bottom. The button displays as a small hole.

Now take a sharp paperclip and press the Reset button for 30 seconds. Release the button after 30 seconds, and then unplug the router from the wall outlet. Wait for a couple of minutes and then plug the router back in.

Connect your computer via Ethernet cable and log in to the Linksys router settings using the default values. Now, all previous settings will get erased, so you'll need to reconfigure your wireless network and set a new admin username and password.
