1) Restart Your Extender as Well as your Router

How to Set up a Netgear Extender?

Step 1: Connect your extender and then wait for the power light to turn on. Please ensure that the Power Link LED light is either green or amber. If it's red, then you must connect the extender to a location that is close to your router. 

Step 2: After that, use your device for connecting to the network of your extender. It is going to appear as NETGEAR_EXT. Generally, there is not password security but you can add the password later on.

Step 3: In case the Netgear Extender Setup page does not open up automatically, then you must open it manually. 

Step 4: After that, select the button of NEW EXTENDER SETUP. 

Step 5: Then, you are required to enter your credentials in the text area. After that, select Next given at the end of the screen 

Step 6: Now, select Yes to use Netgear genie. This tool will help you in making the process simpler. 

Step 7: After that, you are required to select the Wi-Fi router from the list. After that, select Next. 

Step 8: Then, enter your router network's password. After that, select Next. 

Step 9: Now, type the name of your network and then select the password. Go to the dropdown menu to choose the password setting. After that, click on Next. 

Step 10: After that, you are going to see a list of Network Settings. Select continue given at the end of the screen to complete the whole procedure.
