How to Reset Linksys Velop System?

Hello, Please let me know that how to reset Linksys Velop system. I am facing some issue in reseting Linksys Velop system. Help me.

As we know the factory reset takes your velop system back to the state it was in when it was a brand new one. However, Resetting the velop system as well as configuring it is kind of troublesome. So you have to perform the setup process again. All settings you have customized in setup and since things such as Wi-Fi name, passwords, security type will be erased. All the wireless devices will be disconnected from your Wi-Fi, once you Reset Linksys Velop system.

So Here's Your Guide to Reset Linksys Velop system:

  1. Primarily, press and hold the Reset button on the bottom of the velop system With the node turned on and connected to power.
  2. Now the light will turn red and fade by blinking on the top of the node.
  3. Wait till the light turns off and then turns into a bright red. Once the light turns into a bright red, release the button.
  4. The red light indicates that the process for Reset Linksys velop system is successful.

Tip: In case you have more than one node in your Velop system, you may need to reset them all to factory default settings. You can do that by resetting the main node; all other nodes will reset automatically.

  3. After the setup is completed, place the secondary node in the location where you want to move it and then connect it to a power outlet.
  4. Next, by using an Ethernet cable connect the secondary node to the primary node. The nodes will itself switch to an Ethernet wired connection.
  5. Lastly, use the Linksys app to add the other nodes as well. 
  6. After the setup is done, use an Ethernet cable to connect them.
  7. You are done setting up your Linksys velop system.
