The factory reset will take your envelope system back to its original new setup. Resetting the entire system can be a problematic thing. A factory reset will erase all the settings set up by you and it will set itself back to the default settings. You can reset the Linksys envelope system by pressing and holding the reset button available at the bottom of the envelope system.

While doing this, make sure the node is turned on and is connected to the power source; now, it will flash a red light. Wait till the light turns off, then turn into a solid bright red, and then release the button. The light is an indication that the reset process of your Linksys velop system is completed.

How Do I Reset the Linksys Velop system?

1. Primarily, press and hold the Reset button on the bottom of the velop system With the node turned on and connected to power.
2. Now the light will turn red and fade by blinking on the top of the node.
3. Wait till the light turns off and then turns into a bright red. Once the light turns into a bright red, release the button.
4. The red light indicates that the process for Reset Linksys velop system is successful.

Tip: In case you have more than one node in your Velop system, you may need to reset them all to factory default settings. You can do that by resetting the main node; all other nodes will reset automatically.

1. Now, through the Linksys app, set up the primary node.
2. Again through the Linksys app, add a secondary node using the wireless setup.
3. After the setup is completed, place the secondary node in the location where you want to move it and then connect it to a power outlet.
4. Next, by using an Ethernet cable connect the secondary node to the primary node. The nodes will itself switch to an Ethernet wired connection.
5. Lastly, use the Linksys app to add the other nodes as well. 
6. After the setup is done, use an Ethernet cable to connect them.
7. You are done setting up your Linksys velop system.
