Step 1: First of all, connect your Linksys RE9000 Extender to the electrical outlet and then wait till the indicator light starts flashing orange.
Step 2: Now, on your tab, smartphone, or computer, search for Linksys wireless extender from the list of available wireless networks.
Step 3: Once your device gets connected to the wireless network, enter extender.linksys.setup in the location bar of your internet browser. Moreover, you can enter 192.168.1.1 in the location bar of the internet
Step 4: After that on your page, select start setup.
Note: If Linksys RE9000 is unable to detect DHCP server, then your default IP address would be 192,168.1.1. If you wish to skip the setup wizard, then select the manual setup link.
Step 5: You will see two options on the screen. Select Next below “As a wireless range extender option
Step 6: As you are using MU-MIMO technology, it will start scanning the present 5 GHz wireless network by default and make use of upstream connection to get better internet speed. Select the 5 GHz in order to increase it.
Note: In case your router only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, then go down and choose the option of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.
Step 7: After that, you will be asked to enter the network key. After entering the password, press enter. The password of the network is no different from the password of your wireless network.
