Step 1: Download the latest Linksys firmware file

Step 4: Search for the firmware update file
Next, you need to click on the Browse or Select button. Here, you can browse for the firmware file that you have already downloaded in the local folder of your main computer.
Step 5: Update your existing firmware

Step 6: Wait for the completion of the firmware update process
Please note that this upgrade process will consume approximately 1 to 3 minutes. So, at the end of the update process, you will receive the message ” upgrade successful”. If you don't get the message ”upgrade failed” then simply reset the router again and try to update Linksys router firmware. Step 7: Reset the router machine
Lastly, you can go online and check if everything is working correctly and normally. Well, if everything is working great then you do not need to reset the router. Furthermore, you can skip the reset step and finish the process.
