Question

Why I am Unable to Connect DLink Wireless ADSL 2 and Router?

I recently bought a Dlink wirelessN300 ADSL2+ router(DSL-2360U). I want to connect several computers at the same time. I have inserted the disc and followed what it said but it keeps saying "your PC's ethernet cable is not properly connected." I have checked the cable several times and I have connected my computer to LAN 1 as stated in the setup on the disc and I have also attached the cable to the internet. I have no clue what to do to fix this issue? Could someone please help?

Connect DLink Wireless ADSL 2:

The problem mentioned by you could occur due to a number of reasons, here we will discuss in detail on how to setup D-link wireless adsl2 and router,

so follow the steps carefully and revert back if you do not understand anything:

Step1: Unpack your router and connect it to the adapter along with it and then plug it into a power source. Once the LED lights on the router start blinking, connect it to a computer using an ethernet cable or LAN cable.

Step 2: Open your web browser and type in 192.168.1 in the given URL field and hit Enter. This will redirect you to the default router homepage. Once on the page, you will be prompted to log in to your account.

Step 3: Enter the username and password in the given field as provided by your ISP. In case you don’t have any, enter “admin” in the username field and leave the Password field blank and hit Enter. This will take you to your router’s dashboard.

Step 4: Once on the setup page, go to Advanced Settings and click on Add and change the settings according to your Internet service provider. Select DSL link type: “EOA” and connection mode to “Default”.

Select the Encapsulation mode to LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING. Now save all the settings and changes made.

Step 5: Now go to WAN Service and click on Add. In the WAN service portal, select PPP over Ethernet and save the settings. In the router's default gateway just click on Next until the setup completes and save the setting.

Reboot the router once the setup is complete.

Hopefully, these steps helped you in getting to a solution, in case you face any kind of difficulty in understanding any part, feel free to revert back with your query. I will be happy to reply.
