Security Logs What am I Seeing?

I'm seeing this on my router ever 6 hours or so. router dnsmasq[353]: reading /etc/hosts Feb 22 02:48:15 router dnsmasq[353]: reading /tmp/resolv.conf Feb 22 02:48:15 router dnsmasq[353]: using nameserver Feb 22 02:48:15 router udhcpd: DHCPINFORM What does it mean?

These are the logs that the router creates itself while any kind of activity is done over the router such as:

  • Firmware upgrade
  • Router healing
  •  Logging in and out router
  •  Port forwarding
  • Activating/deactivating firewall etc.
  • 1

  • Belkin Router
