Question

How to Retrieve Security Key for My Wireless Belkin Router?

I have an N600 Belkin Wireless Router. At the very bottom of it, there was a paper card attached to it that had the security key for the router: a requirement to be able to set it up on your PC. Actually I've been using it for several months without problems, and I was doing one of my routine password changes to the wireless security. However, in doing this. but when I entered the new password, it also wanted the security key, something which no longer seems to be under the router, where I last kept it. How can I retrieve my security key Please help

Retrieve Belkin Router Security Key:

Password retrieval and setting up a password in wireless Belkin Router is an easy task and can be done by following certain simple steps. So, follow these steps carefully to retrieve and set the password:

Step 1: Connect your Wireless Belkin Router to your computer using an ethernet cable. Connect one end of the cable to the internet port or LAN port and connect the other end to your computer. Now open your web browser and see whether you can access internet or not.

Step 2: Open your web browser and type the router’s IP address in the URL field and hit ENTER. The default IP address of Belkin Router is 192.168.2.1 If this Ip address doesn’t work, check your IP address by simpling googling “My IP Address”.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the default homepage of your router. Once on the page, you will be prompted to log in. Enter your SSID or Username and Password in the desired fields and hit Enter. In case your ISP didn’t provide you with any, type “admin” in the username field and leave the password field blank and hit Enter.

Step 4: Once on the page, look for “Wireless Settings” click on it and select “Channel & SSID”. Your Wifi name is under SSID field. If you want to make any changes to it do it and click on “Save Settings”

Step 5: Click on “Security” under the Wireless settings and then uncheck “Obscure PSK” to make the password visible in the PSK field. If the password is already displayed, you may skip this step.

This is how you retrieve or see the password of your Belkin device. Hopefully, these steps helped you in retrieving the password for your Wireless Belkin Router.
