This Orbi WiFi System comes along an Orbi pro WiFi Router and Satellite that provides unparalleled WiFi coverage. System includes a WiFi router and one satellite. Fast Internet speeds for all devices.
And it is easily set up separately and securely through wifi network. So, here you can learn how to setup Orbi Pro WiFi Router.
Step 1 : If you do not have an Insight account, follow the steps in this article to create one.
Step 2 : Launch the Insight app.
Step 3 : Click on the menu in the upper middle of the screen and then tap Create New Network Location.
Step 4 : In the Network Location Name field, enter a name for your new network location.
Note: The name must be 3-24 characters long, letters and numbers only. If you plan to have more than one Insight network location, make sure that you create descriptive names that will help you remember which network location is which, like ‘2nd Floor Marketing’ or ‘Mowry Avenue’ or ‘Richmond Office.
Step 5 : In the field of Device Admin Password, enter the password that you want to use for your Insight network location.
This Device Admin Password removes the managing password on entire devices added to this network location. The password must be 6-20 characters long.
Step 6 : Choose the country and time zone for your new Insight network location and tap Next.
Step 7 : Read the appear notification about password changes to devices already on the network and tap OK.
Step 8 : Your Insight network location is now set up. You can check your network location at any time on the Networks page. Click on the menu in the upper middle of the screen, tap the network location that you want to view, and in the menu at the bottom, tap Networks.
Step 1 : Connect your modem and remove and replace the backup battery if it uses one.
Step 2 : Connect the modem back in.
Step 3 : Plug your modem to the yellow Internet port on your Orbi router using the included Ethernet cable.
Step 4 : Connect your Orbi router to a power source.
Note: In case, the Power LED on the back of the Orbi router fails to light, push the turn On/Off button.
Step 5 : Hold for the Orbi router's ring LED to light solid white and after that pulse white.
Step 6 : Put the Orbi satellite in the middle of your house to have the best WiFi coverage.
Step 7 : Connect the Orbi satellite to a power source.
Note: In case the Power LED on the back of the Orbi satellite does not light, push the switch on/off button.
Step 8 : Hold for the Orbi satellite's ring LED to light solid white, and pulse white, and then pulse magenta.
Note: The Orbi satellite's ring LED light pulse magenta for up to one minute while the satellite attempts to sync with the Orbi router.
Step 9 : Once the Orbi satellite's ring LED pulses magenta, it lights one of the following colors for 10 seconds then power off:
Solid Blue: The connection among the Orbi router and Orbi satellite is good. Solid magenta. The Orbi satellite is unable to attach with the Orbi router. Relocate the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router.
Solid Amber: The connection among the Orbi router and Orbi satellite is fine. Take a look at moving the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router.
Note: In case, the Orbi satellite's ring LED is still pulsing magenta after about one minute, and you already moved the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router, press the Sync key over the Orbi router and on the Orbi satellite.
In case, the Orbi satellite successfully syncs with the Orbi router, the Orbi satellite's ring LED pulses white, then lights solid blue to indicate a good connection, and then turns off.
Step 10 : Plug your computer either mobile device to the Orbi router or satellite through an Ethernet or WiFi connection.
Note: In order to connect through WiFi, search the preset WiFi network name (SSID) and password on the tag on the Orbi router or satellite and connect to that network from your WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device.
Step 11 : Download the Orbi app or go to http://orbilogin.com to setup Orbi Pro WiFi Router network. Now, the Orbi Router's ring LED turns off after the setup is complete.
