How to Update Firmware of NETGEAR Router and Modem

Update Firmware of NETGEAR Router:

Router manufactures regularly releases new firmware for their products to increase the performance and fix the bugs also increase the security in the routers.

TO UPDATE FIRMWARE OF Netgear ROUTER / MODEM FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1 > First of all we just need to launch any web browser like Chrome.

2 > Now Type the URL in the Address Bar “www.routerlogin.net”

Now it will ask for Router User name and Password, So the Default username is admin and password is password (in lowercase).

3 > Now Click on ADVANCED > ADMINISTRATION (FROM THE LEFT MENU)

4 > Now Click on

Netgear FIRMWARE UPDATE/ROUTER UPDATE

5 > Now Click on CHECK

(IF YOU HAVE AND UPDATE JUST DOWNLOAD IT)

6 > Then Click YES.

NOTE : (Then router will take nearby 5-10min to complete whole process meanwhile you don't need to unplug the router)
