Here are some of the steps that you need to follow to bring your Nighthawk router to router mode.
Step 1: Connect one side of your ethernet wire to your existing gateway’s LAN port. Now, connect the other side of the ethernet wire to your Netgear router’s WAN port.
Step 2: Link your computer system to the Netgear router and then open the internet browser.
Step 3: Now, enter http://www.routerlogin.net. In the address bar of your internet browser. If after entering this web address, the router login page does not open up, then you can try out one of these things.
Step 4: Now to access my Nighthawker router, you will be asked to enter both the username as well as the password. These are the login credentials.
There is one thing that you need to know and that is the username and password are case sensitive. The default username is admin and the default password is password.
Note: In case your default login credentials to not help you login, then that means your admin password has been changed. In case you cannot recall the changed password, then you are not left with any other choice but to factory reset your router. This will bring your router back to the default settings.
Step 5: Go to advanced and then advanced setup, now go to the router/repeating/AP/Router. Now, choose the router mode.
Step 6: Go to apply and click on it.
Step 7: The router will restart and enter the mode of the router. The device is also going to have a new IP address by going to the default gateway of the router.
