Follow the steps below to change the Administrator password on WiFi Extender.
Step 1: In the address box of a web browser, type http://dlinkap.local.
Step 2: In the field provided, type your Admin Password. The password field should be left blank if the password has not been changed from the default value. Then, log in by clicking the Log In button.
Step 3: Place your pointer in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Management from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Enter a new password in the Admin Password area to change the Administrator password. To enable CAPTCHA graphical authentication, drag the slider to the desired position. To prevent unwanted access via automated means, CAPTCHA uses a challenge-response test.
Step 5: To save the current setup, click Save.
Step 1: Use a PC or wireless client that's linked to your WiFi Range Extender through ethernet or wireless connection.
Step 2: Open up a web browser.
Step 3: Type www.mywifiext.net into the address bar.
Step 4: Use your Username and Password to log in.
Step 5: Select Settings, then Wireless.
Step 6: Look for the WiFi Password under General. It's utilizing the same WiFi password as your main WiFi router if it reads the same as the existing network password. If it states Use a separate password, the password will be displayed under Security Type and Network Key.
