Step 1: First of all, go to the main website of OpenWrt website.
Step 2: After that, under the next stable series: OpenWrt XX.XX, select the option of Download a firmware image for your device.
Step 3: If you want to, then you can check the model number of your router. You can see it on the web interface or the bottom side. You are going to require this in the next step.
Step 4: After that, go to the firmware selector page of OpenWrt and enter your router's model number.
Step 5: Choose your router and then you will get three options.
Step 6: Select the factory option in case you don't own the OpenWrt.
Step 1: Use a mobile device or computer that is connected to your router and then one the web interface by going to 192.168.0.1.
Step 2: Log in by entering your username and password. You can see this at the end of your manual or router.
Step 3: Select Advanced and then click on Administration.
Step 4: After that, search for the option related to firmware upgrades.
Step 5: Select browse and then click on the OpenWrt file which you just downloaded.
Step 6: Wait for the installation to complete.
Step 7: After that, enter the root as the username and leave the password section empty.
