The Netgear range extender is one of the best networking devices available to us today. It has a smart push NETGEAR connected to nature, an external antenna, and ethernet ports. People say that this extender is one of a kind. However, every networking device has some or other flaws.
Therefore, you need to apply an effective method that can help you resolve uninvited software and hardware issues. You can do this by creating a backup of your wireless extender settings.
1) Power Failure
When you are chatting with your friends by using W-Fi from your Netgear wireless extender. When you do this, all the lights go off and your extender shuts down suddenly. A sudden power failure can also cause your extender to go haywire.
It may also delete the changes that you made in the settings of your extender. This is why you need to create a backup of your Netgear N300 Wi-Fi range extender settings. It is extremely useful in areas where there is frequent power cuts.
2) Wrong Firmware Update
The risk of hacking gets reduced when you perform a Netgear Wi-Fi extender firmware updates. Sadly, there are cases where firmware updates create more problems than they can fix.
In such a case, you are required to create a backup of your settings. This can bring your device back to the factory default settings if it goes haywire.
3) Age of Your WiFi Extender
Have you been using your N300 Wi-Fi extender for a long time? Do you find that it is slowing down? There is a chance that your device is getting close to the end of its functional life.
If you don't wish to buy an expensive Wi-Fi extender, then you must create a backup of your default settings. This way, you will be able to connect to your Netgear extender and access the internet.
4) Faster Recovery
If you open an email that contains malware or spam, it won't affect the network but it will put your extender device at risk. We all are well aware of how difficult it is to reinstall, reset and set up the device again from ground zero.
Creating a backup of all the important settings will make things easier for you and you won't have to go through the hassle again.
Below are the steps that you are required to follow in order to secure default Netgear settings.
Step 1: Open your internet browser.
Step 2: After that, go to the location bar of your browser and enter the default Netgear extender web address.
Step 3: Now, you will see the login window on the screen.
Step 4: Enter your username and password.
